Noah Schamus (they/them) is a filmmaker of narrative and documentary films.
Their debut feature Summer Solstice screened at festivals across the US and Europe, including Provincetown, NewFest, and Deauville, and was distributed by Cartilage Films. The film received a New York Times Critic’s Pick.
Their hybrid documentary short, The Script was co-directed with Brit Fryer, and produced by Multitude Films as a part of their Queer Futures series. The Script can currently be seen on The New Yorker and The Criterion Channel.
They are currently in production on their feature documentary, With Time, alongside co-director Brit Fryer, and producer Jesse Miller. The film has received support from ITVS Open Call, the Jerome Foundation, JustFilms|Ford Foundation and participated in the Points North Fellowship at the 2024 Camden International Film Festival.
